I have to say that if this job does work out all the hours I spend vegged in front of the Food Network will be worth something. Even though I don’t have any experience in a restaurant in the conversation I had with the chef I knew about things she talked about and was able to not sound like a complete food clueless dolt. She was testing me. I even held the knife right when she handed it to me. I pretty sure this is what got me the job offer.

It’s hard work but you learn a lot and it can be very fun if you make it fun. Fast food will never be the same after you cook real dishes.
