I love Maine Coon cats. So gorgeous! I really want one!

I have a general policy of adopting only adult cats, preferably from shelters, and especially shelters that kill cats after a wait period when they aren’t adopted.
The kittens will always find a home, but the best and most loving cats I’ve adopted were adult cats from shelters.

I hate going to shelters though, because I always want to take every animal home. So I’ll never have a Maine Coon cat or a Siamese or anything like that, even though I love them, because they get adopted or were specially bred and placed.

There are no kill rescue shelters that will bring the animal to you if you truly want one. Try the Best Friends Animal Shelter in Utah, they have all kinds of pure breds up for adoption. They have a website, just google it and they pop up right away. I love those people! They’ll go out of their way to both rescue and adopt out all kinds of animals! They never euthanize unless the animal is suffering and they can’t cure it. I watch their show “Dog Town” every Friday night and I love them! Truly Angels Flying Low!
