How do you “work” a honeybee harder than it is inclined to work on its own? Depose the old Queen and enthrone a new, meaner one? Post drones with little whips at the entrances to the hive?
Serious question. I didn’t see the program, so I’d like to know just how that works.
Beehives are trucked around the countryside on big flatbed trucks, visiting the fruit orchards. The constant travel, changing scenery, and never-diminishing crop of blossoms to tap apparently stresses them out.
