That’s a lot to spend just to see if your underlings are late.

I’d rather have a watch who exterior metal was stainless steel, myself. It would still look decent, but would be more durable than gold and lighter too. To me, the primary purpose of a watch is as a tool. If I’m ever able to engage in conspicuous consumption, I’m going to do it as a game or meal for my friends, not by getting a tool that costs far more than it needs to.
