Right now, if Wildstein does not roll on Christie, my money is on Kelly doing so. Not only was she part of his inner circle, but she was also the one he rather unceremoniously threw under the bus and then backed over a few times for good measure. But even if she doesn’t, Christie’s immediate career in politics is pretty much over. He might someday resurrect it, but any talk of his winning reelection to the governor’s mansion, let alone the White House, is DOA.

Unfortunately I don’t quite believe it. I can foresee his local career remaining viable since all this will be portrayed in the media as a “witch hunt” to get Christie in any way possible. And a sufficient number of NJ voters will buy into it because they want to.
