One thing the past few years have taught us is that no system of checks and balances can indefinitely withstand the Republican menace. They must be crushed in elections as long as it takes to force a reform.

the funny (not funny haha, but funny huh) thing about a lot of our so called conservatives is that they like to think they’re the heirs to the Founders/Framers, yet that generation of political leaders were absolutely warning against the sort of partisanship that Republicans are engaging in today when they talked about factionalism.
