Nigel Farage’s Reform UK in virtual tie with Tories for second place, only 2 points behind them. After 14 years in power, the Tories may well become an afterthought.

That’s one way to look at it.

The other way: the far right in the UK have almost taken over the older Conservative party, accomplishing what the religious right has done here to the Republican party.
