And Obama won’t go further to the left for 2012. He remain close to the center if not in fact move slightly to the right on some issues related to regulation and industry. He might even give a green light to Keystone XL despite the controversy.

But I accept that easily given my own ambivalence about the issue. But that’s not the central issue. Obama won’t run his campaign to appease neither the far left or the far right but instead at the center and slightly on the right in some cases.

And he can’t change Wall Street. Wall Street has been in the making for 100s of years. Do we honestly believe that a president has some kind of magical powers to change these institutions? How could he? Some would ask why should he?
