That’s true, but I won’t stand by and simply die because of that nor would I be willing to allow someone else to die because of that. I do not think anyone should.
Assume, for now, that I could prove to you that restricting gun sales would reduce your odds of being killed by a gun by 50% over the course of your lifetime.
Would that be a good reason to curtail the sale of guns, or would you prefer to double your risk of death so that you can be holding a gun “just in case”?
