This was right by Yountville; maybe actually in it. Right off of Silverado Trail, near Stag’s Leap winery.

We got to drink some of their awesome, awesome wine too, of course. And their house was designed by a crazy-but-awesome architect, so it’s got all kinds of cool stuff like a sod roof and walls that can be rolled back to basically expose the whole house to the outside.

And the man of the pair is part of a group of twelve vintners who basically meet together to try to keep old-school Napa vintner culture alive, back when it was more friendly and they helped each other with harvests and problems, rather than it being a mercenary big-money deal. He’s a really nice guy, and boy can he cook.
