India, frankly, would be a better and more sensible choice for inclusion on the Security Council.

But to be blunt, I think the UN is a joke. The US should pursue the creation of another organization dedicated to promoting the interests of the world’s democracies, especially now that there are so many fledgling examples that could stand some nourishing and encouragement. Once established, we can reduce out presence at the all-but-defunct UN to a token, and urge them to relocate somewhere that illustrates the sort of world they’ve neglected and created. I’m thinking maybe somewhere in Palestinian Territory. Or maybe Mogadishu.
