That’s an interesting observation, but I find it hard to imagine that face lifts and tummy tucks are responsible for a major proportion of medical spending in the USA. From what I’ve seen one can get double size boobs for about $5000. You can’t hardly get a bedpan delivered and emptied in a hospital for that.

I think you need to provide sources for something that fundamental.

It’s been discussed in detail here in the past. I get tired of providing links for everything I say; it makes no difference, other than to take up my time. I figure most people know how to use a search engine all by themselves.

The sheer volume of such procedures is amazing. And while a hospital stay of any sort is expensive, it’s rare on a per capita basis.
