Ahhh. Pity. I’ve been in Miami about 30 years and I don’t speak fluently which is embarrassing. They make fun of me at my favorite coffee stand. I can say about 10 words, but I say them in a really authentic Cuban accent. “Look at the gringa!” And they all point and laugh at me. Oh good times.

Not that this helps you now, but have you thought of calling the adult education course people (?) in your area? Maybe you’re not the only one who wants to learn. If they get enough folks, they may offer a course.
