That’s what they do. Reminds me of the tabloids. One screwball theory gets shot down, they move right on to the next one.

It’s the shotgun approach to uncovering a story: Keep throwing stuff out there, and eventually, one will hit something. The theory completely ignores the fact that it makes you look a lot of blithering idiots when you do it, though.
