Whatever happened to tadpoles and fireflys?

They were abundant in the 70’s when I was a mere urchin.

Although I live in the same state I can’t remember the last firefly I have seen.

They must have all moved to the area of Georgia where I live and South Carolina where I have a place

Been in Georgia for 11 years now and I can;t ever remember seeing MORE fireflies
