Obama could be doing a lot more to go after Wall Street. He is in charge of the Justice department, he is in charge of the Treasury, he could beef up the SEC, he could do a host of things that he’s not doing.

But that doesn’t mean that he’s doing nothing, nor does it mean that he’s AWOL. He spends 90% of his time making sure the GOP doesn’t burn the country down trying to cook up Freedom Meth. It’s probably exhausting.

The only way there would be to increase funding to the SEC offhand. But that’s much like GITMO: congress.
