That’s really neat. I didn’t find anything ground breaking about my ethnic background in my research of my family but I was able to trace most of where my family is from in Germany, Ireland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Have even talked to a couple cousins that still live in Slovakia and Germany.

I can tell you getting a trove of things like this is a powerful and bittersweet thing. The letters are amazing. Heartfelt correspondence, and ordinary stuff. Postcards.
