Say hello to Sharpe James, D-NJ, who is given a hero’s welcome upon his return to Newark NJ after a 1-year stay in federal prison for selling real estate to his girlfriend for $60k and who then turned around and sold it for $600k. Nice that a convicted felon who did nothing for Newark is given a hero’s welcome.

His successor - Cory Booker promised to get crime under control - and has been successful in that endeavor, and Newark saw its first murder-free month in decades. That’s something that James was never able to do.

I’d pay 60k for 600k in real estate if someone offered it to me.
