I mentioned the sob story I heard yesterday of the guy who spent 30K and took his kid out of school in order to white water raft - only to find the Grand Canyon Nat Park closed.

I swear NPR played that story to piss us off. Because the day after hearing it, I’m still pissed.

I feel kind of bad but it seems to me all the outrage is focused on tourists who weren’t able to do certain things. Where’s the sympathy for the kids who are cut from HeadStart? The numerous federal employees who are out of work?
