Indeed. But I don’t think they will. In his rant yesterday, Putin pretty much outright said that Ukraine has no right to exist as an independent nation.

It’s a repeat of the Sudetenland Crisis of 1938; first, after the Munich Agreement, the Sudetenland was annexed to Germany….and then the rump Czech state became the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia once Hitler berated President Emil Hacha to capitulate.
