Ha. I worked the ticket counter at the Power Station show in Austin, 1985, but only because I wanted free tickets to see their opening act, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Sadly, I was stuck in the box office and only got to see a couple of OMD’s songs. However it was quite a sight to see the little girls lined up to get in to see the Duran Duran boys very early in the day. The line must have stretched for a hundred or more yards. It was pretty crazy.
