The GOP really, really needs to draw a very firm line in the sand, right now, or the party is going to become a regional party of nativists, and nothing more.

They’re about 40 years too late on that. From the moment the GOP embraced the Dixiecrats and started working on a Southern Strategy, they’ve become a regional party of nativists. It’s just more obvious now that we have an African-American president.
