Well when people like Fischer say Judeo-Christian, they mean conservative protestant. An English professor of mine of all people made the point that when people say that this is a “Christian Nation” that they are almost universally Protestant.
I can see where he’d leave out the Catholics (although I didn’t really think about that), but I think he’s trying to buddy up with the Jews against the Muslims. I think his constant use of the phrase is to further alienate Muslims, not to define his brand of Christianity. There is no “Judeo-Christian” sect of Christianity.
