Looking at these circumstances where do you see ANYTHING to suggest any political motivation. He didn’t select particular targets, he’s not a member of any political group or party, he attacked a movie theater (I mean come on, if it was politically motivated it would make more sense to attack at a government office or State Capitol. Heck even a shooting spree at a bank would lend more credence to possible political motivation.

I think this is tied to the ‘Is the act rational at all?’ question. It was planned therefore it was rational doesn’t hold up for me. Rational doesn’t equal sane. …I mean think of all the Right Wing Extremist Militia guys that think by shooting poorly at cop cars they are going to spark a civil war/revolution… Is a political motivation credible for those actions?
