Sanders isn’t a Democrat. We need to start there. He refuses to join the party. If he doesn’t want to join, Democrats should not put the welcome mat out for him to run using their infrastructure. Let him run as an independent nationally.

Bernie Sanders is 76, he will be 79 by election day 2020. It is highly unlikely that he would have anything that resembles a viable presidential campaign. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if he sees a real challenge this year for his Senate seat.
