So, the entire UVA story is such an interweb shitshow at this point, but has it been addressed anywhere as why “Jackie” pursued this facade? Is she on record anywhere other than RS?

The best guess I have seen is that something awful did happen, but the victim, being both drunk and traumatized, didn’t know what it was. The way memory works in situations like that is it tries to fill in holes and soon you can’t tell what is real and what isn’t.
