Agreed, the right leadership could have avoided a lot of problems but I think it was pretty unlikely they would have chosen productive leaders. Another inherent problem ties in with the ADL’s list of top anti-Israel hate groups l Iinked to earlier. Code Pink, ANSWER, and International Solidarity Movement are very active on the far left but their ability is rapidly waning. Kind of ironic to think that the recession has wounded the ability of anti-capitalist groups. They might see a resurgence with the next Republican president but maybe their time is done.
