Most Americans can’t even name one major world leader besides the President of the United States - not even the Queen or the Prime Minister of England (both of whom are rather well-known, and the PM in the news lately).

I’m Canadian, and was in washington DC when a Canadian election occurred. General election, a fairly big deal for us. Figured I’d just be able to look at the front page of a paper and find the results. Eventually found it somewhere in the middle of A section in USA Today. If the change of government of your largest trading partner isn’t big news… Well, lets just say I was shocked.
