I really don’t know how much of a behavioral and profile side there is to it, but one of my sons dresses unconventionally and gets stopped a lot. And on the other side of the ledger, I take pains to be polite. My wife wins the trophy though. Once, we were speeding through St. Louis on the interstate a couple days before Christmas, heading to family, and got caught. Ticketed. And when the cop handed her the ticket, she wished him a Merry Christmas. Not sarcastically, but for real.
