It -IS- Feudalism. In the GOP world, if you are rich, you pay no capital gains tax. You can buy the best healthcare and education for your children, and pass your entire fortune to them without tax, and they will never have to work. On the other hand if you are poor, you have no protection. Your children will have no decent education or opportunities, and they will work 16 hour shifts seven days a week, without “socialist” labor laws, like what happened in the 19th century. Thus, wealth begets wealth, poverty begets poverty. It is a system without social mobility. Your circumstances is dependent mostly by the fortune of birth. It is a nobility which the creation of the US was supposed to eliminate.

In fact, this right-wing system was so bad (nothing Ron Paul is suggesting is new, mind!) that in some countries which suffered the worst of its excesses, where the hungry masses were not able to change the system peaceably, they opted for COMMUNIST revolution because they had no choice.
