There’s a lot to the money, but a lot of it is also that the athletes themselves have been training for it. Most of them aren’t rich. They have taken time off to train and prepare, and may not be able to do it one year later.

Nobody wants it suspended, and it takes them awhile to work around to the understanding that it’s necessary. If it is — it’s not likely that they can follow the schedule, but this is an evolving situation.
