re: #487 SteveC

When I get to the first TSA gurard I hand him/her my ticket, ID, and pacemaker card. Then I say that I have a pacemaker and I would like to request a patdown.

I have noticed that when you have medical reason, (even if it is an “invisible disability”) TSA tends to treat you gentler - more time to gather your stuff, a little more patient during the patdown routine. If you want a patdown just because you don’t want to go through the metal detector or scanner, that’s what you’ll get - but it will be a doozy!

/ No one has touched my junk in quite a while. :(

LOL It’s a different world, isn’t it and all the ironies that are included.

It’s inevitable, I guess, that you have to give this info to TSA. I guess it’s your choice to fly. Not so much your choice to keel over, but it is what it is.
