I listen to a lot more Bowie than Tom Waits, but I like both. :D

I don’t listen to ANY Waits because I can’t understand a fucking thing he is singing. His tunes themselves are nice, but nothing special. His lyrics are probably the best part of his talent, very good verse.

But honestly, bottom line, when you have someone who sounds like a porcupine crawled into his throat, it’s destroys the whole thing. I want to hear the music and understand the story. He’s not an italian opera where I should have a libretto.
