I’m undecided on whether this is a good thing or not. There are way too many otherwise rational people who have bought the ‘whistleblower’ narrative hook, line, and sinker and I see Snowden using this to make a big activist bullshit statement or turn himself into a martyr for the left-libertarian dudebro political philosophy.

Maybe he wants to come home so that he can write his tell-all book and cash in on it - rather than all the monies going to Greenwald and company while he shivers in Moscow.
