Yeah, as a dual Canuck/Merican citizen I don’t like these cartoons very much. It’s quite clear from elections and social analyses that the “America” there isn’t us, it’s a minority faction that has captured grossly lopsided power against the rest of our will. Then they hide behind us and call themselves “America”.

Canada is a lot better when it comes to gun control, and it shows in the statistics. But don’t hurt yourself throwing rose petals in front of Canadian cops before you get to know how they have treated minorities and native peoples, or rightwing Canadian politicians who were happy enough to get thousands of Canadian unnecessarily killed with COVID. We all got work to do.
