The idea of self-driving cars still gets a serious WTF reaction from me, even though it seems nearly everyone views it as coming in the near future.

A computer (that thing that has microsoft moments, often needs to be rebooted to clear out random state/software shit and perpetually needs care and feeding of its software) is going to drive a car all by itself (where mistakes really can be fatal and reacting reasonably to unexpected situations isn’t exactly a computer’s strong point).

1. I haven’t rebooted my computer at home, Linux, in months. I reboot my computer at work, Windows, about once a month because the security fixes the company pushes require a reboot.
2. Have you ever had to reboot the computer in your car?
