Glad you caught my reference. Whatever you think of him or his presidency, his “malaise” speech was spot on and we would all do well to remember his recommendations. We’re already paying for the consequences of our inaction when it comes to energy conservation and the environment. That speech was the last time a President spoke honestly to the American people about hard choices. Even Obama is shying from the truly hard hard choices we’ll need to undertake if we hope to turns things around. We live in the age of pablum.
