It seems that whatever they are using to put out the fire isn’t working any better than just letting it burn.

It looked like they were using water to cool down the area before changing to foam to smother the remainder, but for some reason changed back to water when they hit the main fuel source for the fire.
And we got a nice image of why spraying water directly onto a gasoline fire is a very bad idea, because it flared back up to almost its original size and RAPIDLY spread past the containment area.
