It’s become clear that America’s police forces have to be denazified. Take away all of their military equipment, have them patrol without firearms on them, no-one engaged in a nonviolent crime should be arrested without a warrant, just ticketed. Noone should die for allegedly passing a fake $20 bill or selling loose cigarettes. New cops should be recruited from civilian life, not military, and should mostly be women and poc.

I agree with the first two. Unfortunately, our populace is too armed and dangerous to send them out without some sort of weapons.

That is a separate issue to be addressed.

And the other issue is that of how District Attorneys and State Prosecutors approach charging police officers with crimes: in general, they are used to working with LEOs to obtain indictments, working against them can present a bit of a conflict of interest.

We need a separate mechanism to deal with that which removes or mitigates that problem.
