The Bastard/Hand and 1/2, and the Greatsword/Claymore were often wielded by Knights of 5’6”, or less; they wore them backslung, so they could draw them over their shoulder. I’m kinda an old knight at heart, maybe a reincarnated one……..LOL.

I’m sure glad I didn’t live in those times - just thinking of keeping all that armour rust-free, without modern cleaning solutions, makes me feel faint …
