Pro Tip - Not all women want to buy new furniture and drapes every year.
I have the same furniture for years. Leather sofas last a long time.
I shop garage sales, flea markets, thrift stores and practice DIY.
I manage to keep a fresh look for very little money.

And…I know a LOT of men who need new toys all the time.

Isn’t that the truth. We bought new furniture when we bought a new house in 2003. In 2007, we needed to move into a different house in order to have my grandmother live with us. We made the furniture work even though it doesn’t really fit this house. It’s starting to get beat up, but I have no plans to get any new furniture anytime soon. My husband, on the other hand, has to have every new Apple product that comes out along with other things that he considers “must haves.” Costs us a lot of money!

As for drama, it only happens if you let it happen. We don’t do too much drama in our home (even with 7 and 9 year old girls).
