Personally, assuming the Democrats end up with 51 Senators next year, I think it won’t be that hard to find 15 Republican Senators who would like to see Trump gone, or have enough internal morals left to remove a President due to crimes regardless of party pressure.

I think it would, unless there is overwhelming evidence of serious crimes committed by Trump personally. The GOP would rip in two, and any chance they had of winning the 2020 presidential election would evaporate. The best hope for them is that if the economy stays good that Trump decides he has already achieved MAGA and anoints Mike Pence as his successor so the party stays united.
