I would like to wish all lizards, wherever they may be, a happy V-E day. I realize this is late, and for some of you the day has already passed, but I thought the death of National Socialism (in spite of the neo-Nazis) should be celebrated.

The instrument of surrender was signed on 6/7/45. The next day was designated V-E Day. V-J Day would have to wait a couple of months.

The people who brought this victory to fruit are among the finest people our country has ever produced. Tom Brokaw was not out of line when he called them “Our Greatest Generation.”

My prayer is: May we continue to be worthy of them.
