Marx’s analysis could not have happened without the structure of Smith’s - and Smith’s work on “The Theory of Moral Sentiments” which is less well known, provides the backbone of much of “The Wealth of Nations” that the modern right wing refuses to accept.

I need to read some of these sometimes. Anyhow, one of my gerat political role models is Lincoln. I like a lot of your choices too. Bentham is a Brit I like too based on what I know. As a self-described socialist, what are your thoughts on Irish socialists like James Connolly and James Larkin? I find the Irish nationalists o the early 20th century fascinating.
