Not glorious: My house is only worth $18,000. My car new was $13,000. That took almost all of our saved money.

For that, we get to live on the High Plains in a village of 128 people (127, there was a funeral Saturday).

You’re welcome to move to Western Nebraska if you like. I don’t know where you live, but housing does not cost hundreds of thousands of dollars everywhere in the country.

Of course you would have to put aside a snobbish view of rural living and ranching and farming, but I am sure you can do that.
