I really don’t want to be around while that “horses and bayonets” line is being bandied about. It pissed me off when I heard about it (I was watching the Bears-Lions game far more than the debate) and I’m annoyed with Obama over it. But if I give voice to that annoyance here, all I’m going to get is gang-tackled and downdinged. So instead I’m just going to sign off for the moment and leave you folks to it.

Actually, the US currently has more bayonets than we had in 1917. This is because we have more servicemen. You see, you can run out of bullets, but you never run out of bayonet.
