I don’t think Jewish Salad is the best name for a dish in the first place. I have the utmost respect for the Jewish people, but it seems like that could easily, as it did here, lead to offensive comments and misunderstanding.

There is such a thing as an Israeli salad, my mom used to call it Jewish salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, hard-boiled egg, celery, a tahini dressing, no lettuce).
