Santorum’s not in this anymore to win it, I doubt he’s even in it anymore in the hopes that he can force a brokered convention. No, now he’s just in it to lay the groundwork for his own run as the “inevitable” candidate in ‘16.

But the groundwork has already been laid. He’s the last real candidate. Nobody else is left. And even if they were, Huntsman staying on the trail in 2008 did nothing to prevent Romney from taking it easily in 2012.

(I have no idea how Huntsman would actually be doing in this race.)
