Which is why I’m such a skeptic about social sites on the internet (which I abhor), for instance. I’m not so sure it enables social cohesion as much as it is dividing people and has laid the groundwork for those with sick minds and of criminal intent without much interference. I only welcomed the internet to learn, to discuss, and witnessed its descent into what it’s rapidly becoming, almost like a bad drug for some.

When there was only a limited number number of news networks and outlets, they strove to maintain quality by being balanced, objective and inclusive in their reporting.

But now there are so many niche markets that appeal to a certain demographic and have no incentive to present anything but a preconceived point of view.
