Any alliance between Trump and Putin would not be between equals. Putin is both very intelligent and very ruthless. Trump would be like putty in his hands, and his pro-Russian advisors are not going to see through any Russian trickery, either.

FTM, most of the world’s other national leaders could mold Trump into whatever shape they like. Xi Jinping has been in local, regional and national government all of his adult life. His father was one of the founders of the PRC. Xi is also a chemical engineer. He probably regards Trump as an idiot, as well he should.

And the Republicans are quite willing to follow Mr. Trump down that rabbit hole.
